Dónal Daly An awesome blend of folk and rock that conjures the psychedelic weirdness of the Donegal hills in places. In Bog Surfer the lads have a riff Jack White would kill for. Highly recommended. Favorite track: Bog Surfer.

"Like a drunken waltz through the ballrooms of No Romance, this is unbelievable fare from start to finish, and if Post-Punk met Thin Lizzy and the Horslips, at a Pogues gig on acid this would be the result! It's astonishing and compelling listening, it's like listening to twisted old ballads played by a drunken Fall, with a demented scarecrow singing! It's sinister, scathing, and rebel rousing stuff with a satirical, comical edge! Never heard of these Donegal lads before, but now I will seek them out! This makes Celtic punk sound like the brotherhood of man, ugly, twisted and beautiful in all parts! 10/10"(Album review by Deklan Dachau/ Paranoid Visions)

"What's not to like? Sweet and Tender, and I'm glad St.patrick didn't banish the snakes!" (Barry Devlin, Horslips)

The Pox Men Donegal, Ireland

From the misty Bogs of Ireland...Hello, we're The Pox Men, a Psychedelic - Celtic - Proto- Punk - Folk band from Donegal, Ireland.

We are a four piece (guitar, bass, percussion, vocals) with an occasional violinist and whistle player. We play all original material, and have been described variously as a cross between Thin Lizzy and The Fall, or Horslips teamed with Captain Beefheart.

Track Name: Sez You
Sez you, sez I, sez me to you,
under a waterproof roof,
"Ye canna believe a liary hoor
but he might be telling' the truth"
Sez you, sez I, sez you to I,
picking' away at your tooth,
"ye canna call me a liary hoor
if ye havnae any proof!"

I'll give you a few words, a bit of common sense
trying' to buy the truth will cost ye more than fifty pence
try and tell the Devil that there's no point bein' bad
try and tell a madman that there's no point goin' mad

Sez you as ye stood, to me as I sat,
"I'm putting' on me hat"
Sez me as I stood to you in your hat,
"what do ye mean by that?"
Sez you to me "can you not see? That this is the end of that?"
Sez me to you, "c'mere to me, we canna leave it at that!"
